Helping individuals & families achieve a more meaningful and fulfilling life

Whatever brings you here today, I’m happy to provide support that’s as personable and compassionate as it is professional.

Welcome change and a brighter future

When it comes to addressing life challenges, reaching out and asking for help can be difficult. Maybe you thought (and hoped) you could do this on your own but it’s not working.

Or, you’ve tried several other solutions and feel defeated for not reaching the results you were looking for. You’re searching for something beyond strategies to manage these symptoms.

Asking for help is not a sign of weakness. And, you never have to feel alone.

It may not be easy to say I need help, but it’s often a clear sign you are in fact ready to take the step forward and achieve real change.

It doesn’t matter what you’ve tried in the past; you are here – you are ready.

And, you are worth it.

Often a lack of a better response to therapy is not because of a deficiency on your part, but because of certain maladaptive patterns that the brain is stuck in

— I can help change those patterns

Taking traditional Psychotherapy beyond  talking through a situation

I offer a unique approach to resolving issues from the past, breaking unhealthy behavior patterns, addressing psychological or neurological issues from brain injuries to covid, and so much more. Using an integrative approach, I can provide ways to heal and thrive, rooted in talk therapy and enhanced by physiological interventions.

With the addition of Neurofeedback and other physiological interventions, I can help you or your loved one reach optimal mental wellness, with profound and lasting results.

The office of Nicole Munoz, LCSW-C, a psychotherapist offering neurofeedback in Towson, Maryland

Welcome to my therapeutic practice

Nestled in Towson, Maryland

For more than 28 years, I have been helping  children, adolescents, adults, and families achieve clarity and emotional well-being in their lives.

My approach is multidimensional–focused on addressing a variety of issues including trauma, stress, depression, anxiety, nervous system dysregulation, lingering effects of head injuries, and so much more.

Over the past seven years, I have successfully integrated Neurofeedback into my practice, and more recently, I have adopted a new treatment approach known as the Safe and Sound Protocol, which is based on the Polyvagal Theory*.

Everyone is met as a completely unique individual.

There is no one size fits all approach to my practice, because there is no one path that everyone has taken. We’ve all walked a different road, with different stops and co-pilots, so everyone who needs a helping hand, needs one that’s tailored to them.

It works for me, and it works for my clients. It can work for you.

You can exhale a sigh of relief.

You’re in good hands, and you are not alone.

As a practical application of Polyvagal Theory, the SSP acts as a non-invasive, acoustic vagal nerve stimulator, helping to re-tune the nervous system to better support connection, collaboration and resilience.
